Wells Fargo Mortgage Sucks

So the past year has been an interesting journey. I lost my job and was off work for almost a year. Got a new job with a good company, but the $$ isn't the same as yet. Long and short of this has been that we fell behind on our mortgage, and contacted our lender, Wells Fargo, to see what programs are out there so we can keep our house. This process started in January. After numerous phone calls, which 90% weren't returned, along with emails and more documents sent to them than anyone could imagine, we were turned down for a modification in April as our status had changed. The change in status was that I got a job in February and when we started the paperwork in January I was unemployed. Seems counter intuitive but ok I'll play by their rules. Therefore we had to resubmit new paper work, and was told my our modification specialist, I'll call him dickhead, that he would restart the process. Throughout this we were getting daily phone calls about our loan from the Wells customer service folks. No I know they are only doing their jobs but for fuck sake. Read the notes on the file. Anyway I sent the paperwork to dickhead within 24hrs and waited for him to call and ask for more. After 10 days went by with no word I called him and left a message and followed up with an email. Repeat this process every week with zero return calls. Side note for those that don't know the mortgage companies have zero interest in helping their customers. Anytime someone goes into default the bank is paid the full purchase value of the house from the mortgage insurance companies. Therefore why would they want to modify your loan so you can keep your house when they can get the $$ from the insurance companies and then get more $$ when they do a foreclosure auction. Yup the fuckers get to double dip and screw the homeowners. I was finally able to get him on the phone on June 6 and the first thing he asks is did I ever send in the paperwork. WTF?!!! I calmly explained that I had sent it in April and he said he didn't get it. Yet when I asked him to search his email he shockingly had it. Hmmm? Part II to follow, when I'm not as furious as I am now.
